Psychology Lesson: Maslow's hierarchy

Abraham Maslow in his 1943 paper "A Theory of Human Motivation" proposed a hierarchy of needs important in human development. You will notice that the first level is Basic Survival, followed by Security. Here at Survival Preppers our goal will be to help everyone feel comfortable with the first two levels of human needs. (Sorry I can't promise I will be able to help you with your self esteem.) Air, water, food and shelter; you will see this list of basic human needs frequently in our topics. As we further begin to explore survival prepping you will see blog entries devoted to each of these individually in the weeks to come. Also, expect to see posts about security, Maslow's second level of human need; including firearms, survival knives, other blades, locks and lock picking. In the meantime follow the link below to a short article and video about Maslow's hierarchy of needs.
